As a dog owner, you know that Halloween fun isn’t just for humans anymore. Dogs are getting into this spooky celebration with Howl-oween parties, dog friendly trick-or-treating goodies, and costumes. Since we can’t pass up a good reason to see our dog clients in cute (and silly) costumes, here are a few ideas that we had to share.

The Lion From the Amazon Commercial
I mean, who didn’t get a bit teary-eyed with the Amazon commercial that features a sad dog looking for a way to connect with the baby of the family? If you have a lion-colored dog, or even if you don’t, you can buy a mane right here.

Star Wars
Star Wars transcends generations and even species. We love seeing costumes like this one that turns your dog into a tiny Ewok, making your dog the perfect companion to your family’s costumes from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Ewoks not your dog’s thing? No worries. There are options for Yoda, BB8, and other iconic creatures too.

Food
A dog dressed up like a taco? The answer to that is always yes. Food is a running theme for dog costumes that are almost always funny or entertaining. From spaghetti and meatballs to pizza, your dog will look good enough to eat.

Silly Optical Illusions
Finding a costume that your dog won’t want to rip off or eat can be a real concern. Fortunately, it doesn’t always take a full on costume to make passersby giggle. We love costumes that are easy to put on but pack a big punch for optical illusions. This one makes your dog look like a jockey is riding him, and there are plenty more that are similar. You’ll love them and even the most finicky dog will too.
